Meet Checkers & Bartholomew – Bonded Besties Seeking Their Forever Home! These adorable bonded boys (black & white Checkers and gorgeous orange Bartholomew) must stay together. Full of playfulness and chaos, they wrestle, groom each other, and nap in a cute black-and-orange pile. The Duo: Super playful with toys, wand teasers, and laser pointers & Cat-friendly (good with a calm resident cat after proper intros). Checkers (outgoing & chatty): Loud, food-motivated trickster who loves treats. Cuddly mostly with his brother but warming up to humans. Needs a safe hidey spot; can be picked up (with dramatic protest). Bartholomew (sensitive soul): Shy at first, but turns into a playful maniac with the Da Bird toy. Accepts pets in his safe zone; picking up is still a work in progress. This pair needs a patient, cat-savvy home with hiding spots, high perches, and time to decompress. Once they trust you, they’ll become loving shadows — chirping for breakfast, playing like kittens, and purring on the couch. If you have room in your heart (and lap) for two goofballs who just need patience, Checkers & Bartholomew are ready for their forever home! Visitors to the shelter are by appointment…
