AUGUST 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. One of our previous fosters found a mama cat (LUCY) and her 4 kittens (LILI - SHANDRA - JACE - ALANI) eating out of the dumpster at her work site in Hemet, California. Before trapping them, she reached out if we cold help her. We agreed if she would foster. We had the mama cat scheduled to be fixed. The day before she was due to get fixed, she had a second litter. So apparently she was pregnant before she was trapped. Her new liter of 4 kittens was LYNA - ELARA - CASTOR - POLLUX. CASTOR, a charming white and gray…

How adopting CASTOR works

Workin' Whiskers decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
