We're still learning about Bread Pudding's personality - check back soon! Bread Pudding tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is a virus that suppresses a cat's immune system. This means they are more susceptible to illnesses. Recovery time of illnesses may also be lengthened. FIV infects 3-5% of the cat population. With good care, many cats with FIV have a similar lifespan as cats without FIV. FIV cannot be transmitted to people. FIV can only be passed from cat to cat if the FIV cat bites another causing a deep wound. To practice the highest level of safety, we are looking for an adopting home with no other cats, or resident cats that are also FIV positive. --- Bread Pudding is a 2-year-old short-hair female. Her adoption fee is $55. If you are interested in adopting a cat from HSPC, please complete our adoption application. Approved applicants will be contacted within 3 working days for an appointment.
