From Loving Care Cat Rescue

Meet Almond! He was born around April 2023, and he came to LCCR in May 2026 with his brother-from-another-mother, Cashew. Almond and Cashew were among a large group of cats pulled from a Harrisburg hoarding situation, and they were just completely overwhelmed and in shock with their change in life situation. They moved to their current foster home in New Cumberland so they could decompress and learn 'how to properly cat' in a quiet and relaxed home. At first they were hand shy and ran, but over the course of their first two weeks, they learned that their foster parents were very nice and provided yummy food and toys. Almond (brown tabby) was the first to come out of his shell--he seems to be the "leader" of the two. Cashew (grey and white tabby) seems to rely on him to be the first out the gate and scope out new circumstances. Very often, Cashew will walk directly adjacent to Almond, side to side, as if for comfort. When Almond will stop, Cashew stops, and then the two of them will bonk heads and purr.
